Through a Grant from the Comstock United Way we have a limited fund available to Comstock Residents for assistance with Utility shut-off notices, evictions and housing needs.

Available Tuesday and Thursday 1:00-3:00pm.

We are an information source to help you find local agencies for Emergency assistance, Housing assistance, Weatherization assistance, Medical Assistance etc.

Legal Aide

Attorney Gary Tibble of Kalamazoo offers 15 minute appointments of free legal aide assistance and information through the Center. Please call the Center for an appointment 345-8556. Or you can refer to his website

Seasonal Assistance

Food Baskets and Christmas help for Families and Seniors in Need.
You can help feed families in your community. From November to mid December you can support this project by donating canned and staple goods.Baskets will be distributed by the VFW and community volunteers.

Adopt-A-Family
Would your place of employment, club, group or family be interested in directly assisitng a family or senior citizen in need during the holidays? Holiday family donations are a way for you to purchase gifts for a family, make your own holiday food basket or even provide a Christmas tree for a deserving family.

Kids Christmas for kids in the OCmstock amd Galesburg Augusta School System
The Comstock COmmunity Center and Gull Road Meijer will be hosting the 28th Annual Kids Christmas Party this year. Over 100 Pre school and Kindergarten kids (referred by the schools and human service agencies) are invited to go holiday shoppiung to purchase gifts for their brothers and sisters. After shopping, everyone returns to the Center for gift wrapping, special treats and a visit from a "very special guest."
